Having worked in the financial sector for over 15 years (showing my age here) gaining experience under various large corporate companies we have created Sophella Mortgages.
I use my expertise to help clients save money on their mortgage and protection. As a professionally qualified mortgage and protection broker I personally oversee each application and pride myself on delivering consistently excellent outcomes for our customers.
I love our unique business name and I often get asked what's the story behind it so I thought I'd share it, it’s a family business, and as such had to be named after our family too. Its half of each daughters names - Sophia and Isabella. We hope you love it as much as we do!
I balance work and family life, spending time with my two young daughters, and the main boss Carmen, my wife!!

Hello I am Carmen, Daniel's wing woman who, together, we have created this little business.
Being the driving passion behind Sophella Mortgages I carry this through, with every single client and their journey.
As a professional qualified mortgage and protection broker, I want to create a personalised journey for each and every one of our clients. I thrive on delivering customer service that surpasses todays expectations and have a true passion in helping you achieve your dreams and goals. I want to take all the hard work away from you, so you can remain stress free.
Balancing the business and family life with our two girls, I'm a real all rounder so if I don't know the answer, i'll make sure to get it for you!
JULIA
Hi, my name Is Julia, and I work alongside Carmen as part of the admin team here at Sophella Mortgages.
Once you have spoken to Daniel to secure your rate and start the application process, your case is passed to the admin team, who will see you right through to completion! I will be your main point of contact throughout your house buying or remortgaging journey, and I will liaise with the estate agent & solicitor so we can get you to completion as soon as possible. I really do go on this journey with you, and I get a great deal of satisfaction from than helping you to buy your dream home.

I enjoy nothing more than spending time with my lovely family, and I recently became Nana to Lily Grace who keeps me on my toes!

AMELIA
Hi, my name Is Amelia and I work on the admin team at Sophella Mortgages – which I absolutely LOVE! Having been through the home buying process myself, I understand just how invaluable it is to have someone there to cut out the jargon, and to help make completion come as quickly and as smoothly as possible, which is what I strive for, for every client.
I currently work part time, as I became a Mum in January 2023 to my daughter, Lily – who is my best little friend, and Yorkshire’s biggest ice cream fan!
